Crochet a Virus Shawl

TUESDAY 6th AUGUST  10.30 – 12.30pm

So, you can crochet a chain and also UK double and UK Treble crochet stitches, but want to try something different?

Fancy making something that looks intricate, but is in fact relatively easy?    How about this Virus shawl?

It has a rhythm to it, and is a pleasure to crochet, whether you make it in a variegated yarn, a solid colour, or perhaps something with a sparkle!  You can even make a blanket or tablecloth when you have mastered the pattern, and everyone will think you have done something amazing.  Fabulous!

To make the shawl, you will need 600 – 900 metres of double knitting weight yarn, but, for the workshop you will just need some double knit yarn and a 5mm crochet hook.  (The larger hook ensures a fluidity to the shawl, helping it to drape.)

The workshop cost is £25 per person, with a deposit of £10 minimum payable to secure your place.

Places can be booked by calling into the shop,  telephoning on 01525 376456 or by sending an email to  thegirls@thespottedsheep.co.uk
