A fun, friendly, modern wool shop

Sheila, Jacqui and Vi would like to welcome you all to The Spotted Sheep!

If you are looking for a fun, friendly, modern style wool shop where you are greeted with a smile and makes you feel as though you have popped into a friend’s home then this is the place for you.

Our shop is a light, bright, warm and welcoming new shop jam packed with wools, yarns, notions, patterns. needle felting supplies, Tilda kits and oodles of inspiration for all!

We are passionate about wool and the myriad of amazing projects that knitters, crocheters, felters and crafters turn it into, and as such have wools and yarns for all projects and pockets, from yarn bombing to beautiful designer projects and everything in between!! As such we are stocking yarns in a vast array of colours, weights, composition and textures for all things wooly and wonderful.

We would love to meet you so feel free to come along and say hello to us, browsing is actively encouraged.

We are situated in Peacock Mews in Leighton Buzzard, up from the library towards the High Street and down the passageway behind Huckleberry’s Barbers and Hairdressers, on the same site as was previously Nutmeg Needlecrafts.

  1. Hello Ladies,
I would like to thank you for your patience and understanding while I chose the right wool and pattern.

I would like to thank Vi especially for helping no guiding me through the patterns and wool choices. Not an easy task when there was so many colours and beautiful wools and an array of patterns to choose from.

I am a novice when it comes to knitting(k1,p1) so to be given the encouragement and the words of support really helped me to fall in love with knitting once more.

I know I am on a journey of discovery but I know with the support of the lovely ladies at The Spotted Sheep I will one day soon create a bottom draw of babies clothes as well as other creations.

As soon as I returned home I started knitting the baby blanket for my neighbour, and I am actually seeing the fruits of my labour within a few hours. Love the needles that are connected so easy to use, thank you for suggesting them.

I look forward to my next visit as on one visit there is too much to take in. A beautiful shop, with so much to see and touch. Thank you for making my day wonderful.

    Kind Regards

    Debs

  2. I walked into the haven of loveliness and calm and felt like I was stepping back in time! I bought some wool and an easy pattern – as I’m a basic knitter and I’ve sat at home knitting and loving every minute of it. I will be back to this gorgeous little shop which is run by wonderful ladies – I may even try to knit a jumper next!
