For complete beginners – never used a hook or needles before. Yarn and needles or hook are included in the price.

FINISHING TECHNIQUES
Not suitable for beginners – designed for experienced knitters. You will need to bring 4 knitted swatches to the workshop – in any yarn except 4ply, but preferably Aran or Chunky. All swatches to be in the same weight. For each swatch, cast on 25 stitches, and knit 3 inches of garter stitch then 3 inches of stocking stitch and all swatches to be left on a needle or a stitch holder. You will also need a spare pair of needles suitable for the yarn used.

MAGIC LOOP / TOE UP SOCKS
Not suitable for beginners. Yarn and circular needle not supplied. You will need yarn of double knit or thicker and a circular needle – minimum 60cm in length.

KNITTING: THE NEXT STEPS
An intermediate workshop, not suitable for beginners. You need to be able to competently cast on, knit and purl stitches. Yarn and needles are not supplied. Aran or Chunky is recommended with the appropriate needles.

CABLE AND BOBBLE WORKSHOP / SIMPLE FAIR ISLE / BRIOCHE KNITTING
Competent knitters with pattern reading experience.
You will need to bring yarn and needles. Instructions will be emailed in advance so ensure email address is given in advance.

INTARSIA KNITTING     You must be a competent knitter.  You need to bring 3 different colour yarns in the same weight, but not 4ply,  and a pair of appropriate size needles. You will also need a selection of ‘bobbins’ – ask in the shop if unsure about these, or, alternitively, a number of mini balls of the chosen yarn.

CORNER TO CORNER CROCHET / GRANNY SQUARE CROCHET
These are not ‘Learn to Crochet’ classes, you will need to be able to chain and complete a UK Treble. Yarn and hooks are not supplied. You will need at least a double knit yarn and appropriate hook for your choice of yarn.

CROCHET A VIRUS SHAWL         This is NOT a ‘Learn to Crochet class’   You will need to be able to complete a chain, a UK Double crochet and a UK Treble Crochet stitch.  You will need a double knit yarn and a 5mm hook. Includes a written pattern and also a chart, so you may find it useful to learn how to interpret charts!

COLOUR POOL CROCHET  This can only be achieved with the special Colour Pooling Yarn. Bring one ball of the yarn and a selection of crochet hook sizes.   (Requirements vary according to tension between 3.75 and 6mm, according to tension! )   Need to be competent at Crochet, so is NOT suitable for beginners.
