Noro

Noro yarns are created by a Japanese company, and all animal fibres that are used in the yarns come from certified organic farms, from international sources such as Australia, the Falkland Islands and South Africa.  Noro is personally involved with inspecting all aspects of production, from visiting the animal farms to checking the machinery used and keeping restrictions on the dye processes to maintain products that are as eco-friendly as possible. They have an unevenness of texture and complex colour variations, that make them instantly recognisable.

Noro patterns are available to purchase in the shop, as downloads, which we can print for you.  If you wish to purchase a pattern to be posted to you with the wool which you have purchased, please contact us directly prior to making a purchase, so we can ensure that we are able to complete this.  Patterns are chargeable but can vary according to style.

Kiri

Kiri is a gorgeous tonal blend of Silk, Wool and Mohair, in a 350 metre, 100g skein of worsted weight luxury.

We have a most beautiful shawl in the shop which is made out of 1 skein of Kiri, and is a Noro pattern.

Kotori

Kotori is mainly made up of Wool, with a Cotton, Viscose and Silk mix.  It is a worsted weight yarn, which is tonal in colour, with short splashes of vibrancy.   We have a fabulous jumper in store, which is a pattern of Jacqui’s making and is ideal for layering. Only 2 balls for the smaller size, and 3 for the larger.

Ito

Noro Ito is a beautiful 100% wool Aran weight yarn in the unmistakable multi-colour, variegated, self-patterning style we all recognise as Noro. So many colours that it’s almost a kaleidoscope!  Fantastic for those of us who love the colours of Noro but prefer pure wool. Perfect for knitting, crochet and felting!  Each 200g ball has a massive 400metres and is an aran weight yarn.  We have patterns specifically available for this yarn, as well as one of our own which makes a layering top OR a Poncho.  You decide how you want to wear it!  And what’s even more impressive is that it only uses 1 ball!

Silk Garden Sock

This is a versatile yarn, which can be knit or crocheted as a Double, Worsted, Aran or Chunky! Each 100g ball has 300 metres of Wool, Silk, Polyamide and Mohair. However, don’t let the Mohair put you off!  Somehow, it doesn’t seem itchy like a lot of Mohair can.  We have a pattern of ours which can be crocheted into a scarf, which uses just 1 ball,  or a shawl or wrap which uses 2 or 3 balls. You decide how big you want it!

Silk Garden Solo

This Worsted / Aran weight yarn comes in 50g balls and is in subtle tonal colours. It is a blend of 45% Silk, 45% Mohair and 10% Wool and can be used for many types of garment or accessories, including the sweater we have made in Kotori.

Magazines

We also stock Noro magazines.  We are currently awaiting stock of Issue 15, but have a small number of copies of 13 and 14 still available. Please click on the issue number to be taken to the relevant page, where you can read more about their contents.
