Payments for workshops can be made by card over the telephone at the time of booking or by cash in the shop.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR WORKSHOPS

 

BEGINNERS KNIT OR CROCHET & CHILDREN’S LEARN TO KNIT
For complete beginners
– never used a hook or needles before.  Yarn and needles or hook are included in price.

KNITTING MITRED SQUARES
Need to be a competent if not very experienced knitter
.  Will need to bring yarn and needles of appropriate size  for the yarn.

FINISHING TECHNIQUES
Not suitable for beginners – designed for experienced knitters
You will need to bring 4 knitted swatches to the workshop in the same weight of yarn – in any yarn except 4ply.  Cast on 25 stitches, and knit 3 inch garter stitch then 3 inch stocking stitch and all swatches to be left on a needle or a stitch holder.  You will also need a spare pair of needles suitable for the yarn used.

MAGIC LOOP / TOE UP SOCKS
Not suitable for beginners
.  Yarn and circular needle not supplied.  You will need to bring double knit or thicker yarn and a circular needle of the appropriate size – minimum 60cm in length.

KNITTING: THE NEXT STEPS
Intermediate workshop, not suitable for beginners.  Need to be able to competently cast on, knit and purl stitches. Yarn and needles not supplied.  Aran or Chunky is recommended with the appropriate needles.

CABLE AND BOBBLE WORKSHOP / SIMPLE FAIR ISLE / BRIOCHE KNITTING
For competent knitters with pattern reading experience
.
You will need to bring own yarn and needles.  Instructions will be emailed in advance so ensure email address is given in advance.

CORNER TO CORNER CROCHET / GRANNY SQUARE CROCHET / VIRUS SHAWL
Not suitable for beginners
. Yarn and hooks not supplied.  You will need at least a double knit yarn and appropriate hook of choice.

CROCHET FLOWERS
Not suitable for beginners
.  Need to bring own hooks and yarn of choice.

CROCHET EDGINGS
Not suitable for beginners, but no need to be an expert.  Bring own yarn and hook and 3 x 8-10 inch squares to work on.

AMIGURUMI   Learn the art of making small, stuffed animals and dolls.
Not suitable for total beginners, must be able to complete a chain and a UK Double Crochet stitch.  Need to bring 100gm of DK yarn and a 3mm crochet hook.


KNIT THE INTARSIA METHOD
Experienced knitters, not for beginners.  Will need to bring own yarns and needles.  Please ensure an email address is given on booking for further instructions.

TUNISIAN CROCHET
Suitable for all, including beginners, but must be able to do a chain.  Hook and practice wool will be provided.

TUNISIAN KNITTING
Only suitable for experienced knitters
.  Yarn and needles will be provided.

TWICE KNIT MITTS
Not suitable for beginners or novice knitters
.  Will need to bring 100gm of Aran weight yarn and 6mm needles.

 

ALL YARNS AND NEEDLES USED IN THE WORKSHOPS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE SHOP TO PURCHASE PRIOR TO THE WORKSHOP IF REQUIRED.
