King Cole Acorn Aran £4.35

This beautiful variegated Aran weight yarn is made from acrylic and wool. Machine washable, it would suit garments for any gender, accessories, and homeware.  The colours are soft and subtle, and give a striped effect.

This yarn is a mixture of 80% Premium Acrylic and 20% Wool, and each ball has 198 metres / 216 yards.  It has a standard Aran weight yarn tension of 18 stitches and 25 rows / 4″ or 10cm square when knitted on 5mm needles.

We have a raglan sweater sample knitted in this wool in the shop, King Cole pattern 3757 which fits 24-50″  The sample size is 32-34″ and is knitted in Holly Berries and the pattern has instructions to make both a round neck sweater and a V-neck Cardigan in all sizes. This is a situation where the sweater sample photograph does not do justice to the actual sweater, which is cozy and warm; ideal if you find chunky too thick but still want warmth.
