Sophia Amigurumi Crocheted Giraffe

Sophia is a cute Giraffe, designed to be perfect for little hands to grab hold of and carry round. Ideal for imaginative play and of course cuddling!

A perfect Baby Shower or New Baby gift!

She is made using the Amigurumi technique, worked in spirals. The only crochet stitch used is dc (UK terminology used throughout)

If you haven’t tried this technique before – don’t panic, and don’t let it put you off – it really is simple! It’s just a little fiddly for the small parts, but you get used to the technique by working the body and head first.

She stands approximately 36cm / 14”tall from toe to horn!

I used 1 ball of Colour 3142 Rainbow to make the sample (I wanted it to be as bright and colourful as possible), pair of 9mm Black Safety Eyes and some Safety Toy Stuffing.If you haven’t tried this technique before – don’t panic, and don’t let it put you off – it really is simple!
