Shop Arrangements

Government Guidelines state that‘non essential’ shops are not allowed to open, but can operate a postal or delivery service, as well as ‘Click & Collect’ facility, so that’s what we are doing, again!

BUT  we can show you Yarns at the door through the screen this time, so that helps!!!

Our hours will be

10.00 am – 2.00pm

Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday

Orders can be placed over the phone, via email to  thegirls@thespottedsheep.co.uk    or via our website, although as many of you realise, we only have a very small proportion of our stock online. Please don’t be afraid to ask if we stock something just because you can’t see it!

Click & Collect

Please note that entry to the shop is NOT allowed, and payment must be made by CARD ONLY.

Please wear a face covering or mask when you come to collect.  Upon arriving at the FRONT door, please ring the doorbell on the left of the door, to notify us of your arrival.

Postal Service.

We will endeavour to post items out to you on the days we are open, and often this will be the same day.

Please note that we may be limited by time constraints if the Post Office are open for reduced hours, as all parcels are sent by Royal Mail, 1st class.  The service we received from them during the last lockdown was efficient and fast, so we have no reason to change!

Deliveries

If you live in Leighton Buzzard or Linslade and are unable to collect, perhaps because you are shielding, Leighton – Linslade helpers have volunteered to deliver for a donation.  The day and time cannot be specified as the service is being run by volunteers, but we will endeavour to keep you informed.

If you live in Cheddington, a free doorstep delivery can be arranged for prepaid items, as 2 members of the team live in Cheddington.  Please note though, that orders cannot be picked up from their private addresses.

As many of you will be aware, this global situation has been met by many with an increased appetite to craft.  The realisation that crafting is a constructive way to entertain oneself and help in  a relaxing manner, has been understood by many people.  This has led to difficulties with supplies, which affects many companies.  Most have not been able to return to their normal stock levels since the previous lockdown, so, once again, we would ask that customers understand that supplies can be evolving!   Companies are informing us that all yarns are constantly being quarantined an various stages, to ensure safety, for which we are all grateful, even though it adds to delivery times.  We have very good stocks of many items, and place regular orders with our many suppliers.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a

massive thank you to everyone who has continued to support us this year, through shopping in store, Click & Collect and postal orders, your support means that we are still here and are intent on coming back!

We too have made a conscious effort to support the little independent businesses, so wherever you live and wherever you can, please buy locally and ensure that going forward our towns and High Streets stay alive,  diverse and bustling with life, variety and specialised knowledge.
