Liesl Fair Isle Cowl By Louisa Harding

Liesl is a fabulous Fair Isle Cowl designed by one of our favourite designers, Louisa Harding.

It uses 2 different Aran weight yarns, 1 of which is Amitola Grande, a variegated yarn and the other being Trenzar which is a solid yarn with a slight marl.  The combination of the 2 yarns and the pattern make the finished garment look more complicated than it is, making you look even more accomplished!  This can be made using alternative Aran weight yarns, preferably a solid and variegated to help achieve a similar effect, but it is recommended that they are compatible in yarn content.

The finished article is approximately 12″ deep and 39.5″ in circumference and looks fabulous either as a cowl as intended, or with some thick tights as a mini skirt for someone slim!  It looked fantastic on Louisa as a skirt when we got her to try it on this way!
