Loch

is a simple shaped sweater knitting  pattern knitted in a 2 st rib, that is sure to be a ‘go to’ that is perfect for any age.

The pattern is worked in Gossypium cotton, but will work equally well in any standard dk weight yarn – yarn suggestions Erika Knight British Blue 100% British Wool, Katia Basic Merino (the number of balls for this yarn is the same as below), Stylecraft ReCreate ( 2 + 2 balls will be enough to make any of the sizes)

– how to work out how much you need of a different yarn:

Divide the metres you need (given below) by the number of metres on the ball of the alternate yarn

Knit this with stripes, without stripes – it’s the same pattern that will give you completely different looks.

Yarn requirements:

Small – chest 37” / 96m, 4 + 4 balls,  800m

Medium – chest 41” / 106cm, 5 + 5 balls,  1,000m

Large – chest 45” / 116cm, 5 + 5 balls, 1,000m

Additional requirements 3.25mm & 3.75mm needles, sewing up needle
