Constance was written and designed by Jeanette Sloan for

erika knight

British Blue dk yarn

A versatile cowl worked in rows on a long circular needle.

Perfect for wearing over a sweater, t-shirt or coat for a snuggly extra layer of warmth inside or out!

The slanted lace stitch creates a reversible fabric with “zig zag” shaped edges.

MEASUREMENTS:

one size approx. 24 cm/9 1/2 in wide and 184 cm/72 1/2 in circumference

MATERIALS:

erika knight british blue faced Leicester wool, approx. 660m
3.75mm/US 5 circular needle 150 cm/59 in long
large eyed blunt tipped sewing needle
Note:  Yarn amounts given are based on average requirements and are approximate.

TENSION/GAUGE:

23 sts and 30 rows to 10cm/4in meas over St st using 3.75mm/US 5 needles.

As this is a cowl the tension is not crucial, personally I would use 4.00mm needles for a more drapey fabric cowl and would use any dk weight yarn that suited the recipient or my outfit!
